The walk is nothing short of spectacular, moving through an ancient & beautiful landscape. Then staying each night at wonderfully well thought out bush camps with amazing 3course meals under the stars! All this under the guidance of our super knowledgeable & funny fearless leader, Shane! Could not imagine anyone better suited to shepherd us city slickers through the bush! We could not recommend this experience more highly - you just have to go!

We had a wonderful experience on the Arkaba walk. Edwina always a perfect host and our guides Tom and Jess were fantastic. Campsites were far better than I’d ever imagined- they were spectacular. The girl who greeted us night was also a pleasure to be around. Kathy and her staff at the lodge could not have done any more to please us. The food was amazing !!! I would not hesitate to recommend this trip.

The absolute highlight was staying in the swags on the first two nights of the walk. Incredible skies and beautiful sunrises. The bush showers were a nice "adventure". The hikes led us through very diverse scenery and amazing landscape. Our guide (Mel) was incredibly good. The walks were pretty easy for us even in the 38° heat but we are used to hiking a lot. The meals that have been served at the homestead - and also "in the bush" - were excellent; great selection of wines (especially at the homestead).
This was definitely one of the highlights of our 10-week trip to Australia.

The trek itself was led by Bruce, an expert outdoors man. His knowledge of the wilderness and nature was extraordinary. I learnt so much from Bruce. Throughout the trip he waited for the slower folks and made everyone feel welcome and relaxed. He put in so much effort at the camps with the camp hosts to make sure every detail was not missed.
So, if you are looking for a good walk (40ish KM over 3 days) through the most amazing scenery. Happy to stay in a swag and enjoy the night air and stunning views from bed, eat and drink great food and wine and stay in either end at a very comfortable lodge, then this is the trip for you.

This was the most glorious three days walking in the magnificent Flinders Ranges. Some of the walking was steep and tough, but all of it was beautiful, made more so by the guides who were knowledgeable, caring and competent. We were greeted at both campsites after our long day of walking with hot facecloths, hot water for bush showers, magnificent food and campfire yarning. The nights were cold, but hot water bottles in our ready made swag beds kept us warm and snug. Each morning started with a magnificent cooked breakfast...I would highly recommend this as a totally enjoyable way to experience the many changing landscapes of the Flinders Ranges.
