Arkaba Homestead is a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia and is open all year round. The five ensuite guest rooms have been tastefully restored in tune with the property’s pioneering history and with Wild Bush Luxury’s understated Australian style.
With limited guest capacity, Arkaba is an intimate, all-inclusive experience which is more akin to staying with friends in the country over a typical luxury hotel. It’s our mission to connect our guests with the environment allowing them to reconnect with nature.

Included experiences
Explore the vast Arkaba landscape on a wildlife-viewing safari drive. Its picturesque high ranges, plateaus, gorges, valleys and creek lines provide a huge variety of habitat for wildlife, and on any given day a safari drive will reveal Arkaba’s hidden treasures.
Afternoon guided experiences are usually capped off with a sundowner drink on top of the ranges with the scale and grandeur of outback Australia laid out for miles around.
Arkaba’s signature experience will take you on a loop drive traversing the rolling ranges in the late afternoon, for a sundowner drink and canapes as the sun goes down, overlooking a breathtaking 360 degree view of Arkaba that will be sure to leave an imprint on your heart.
Arkaba is abundant in natural wildlife. Our expert guides can tailor your experience to see more of a particular fauna or flora to tick off your bucket list things to see. Arkaba also has a viewing hide which is available at certain times of the year. It has been carefully carved out close to the confluence of Arkaba and Woolshed creeks and provides an ideal vantage point for all kinds of wildlife coming to drink. Our team of expert field guides can give you a taste of the Arkaba Walk by showing you some of our short guided walks on the property. A great way to experience Arkaba by foot without the need for camping, carrying backpacks etc.
As a remnant of the former pastoral history, The Arkaba Woolshed was built in 1856 and was used as a depot shed for the surrounding properties. The original corrugated iron roof is still on the building to this day, along with the ‘kit-form’ roof struts which were shipped over from Oregon, USA. You’ll find names etched on the stone wall of shearers gone, dating back to the late 1800s.
