Arkaba is a member of Great Walks of Australia and is one of Australia’s bucket list walking experiences.
Set against the backdrop of the Elder Range and Wilpena Pound in the heart of the Flinders Ranges, The Arkaba Walk is an opportunity to experience the sights and sounds, the scale and space of outback Australia in a style that is exclusive and authentic.
Operating from mid-March to mid-October, The Arkaba Walk is a three day moderate graded guided walk that provides walkers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the remote wilderness of the awe-inspiring Flinders Ranges of South Australia.
Led by our experienced field guides, guests will gain insight into the region’s wildlife, conservation efforts and cultural heritage along the way. Instead of traditional camping, your small group will sleep in comfortable bush camps, enjoy gourmet fresh chef-prepared meals complemented by local South Australian wines, and spend the last night at the Arkaba Homestead – a Luxury Lodge of Australia.

The Arkaba Walk includes the iconic walk and a stay in our historic Homestead, providing guests with the complete Arkaba experience.
We provide a comfortable and immersive experience with all inclusive dining, snacks, drinks, walking gear, backpacks, amenities and more. Accommodation is inclusive of two night’s camping in deluxe outdoor bush camps and one night in a private guest room at Arkaba Homestead.
